UCI Pathology Services (UCIPS) was established in 1979 in conjunction with UCI Medical Center and the School of Medicine. It was designed as an outreach program, providing full clinical and anatomic pathology services to the surrounding community with an emphasis on specialized testing and diagnostic procedures. Since then, UCIPS has serviced a wide variety of clientele including hospital laboratories, state and county clinics, health care agencies, commercial and research laboratories, and private industry. UCI Laboratory maintains a stringent internal and external quality assurance program. The laboratory currently subscribes to over 40 different proficiency surveys and College of American Pathologists.

UCIPS provides a wide array of anatomic and clinical pathology services to our regional clients. The growing UCIPS test menu, our rapid turnaround times, and commitment to customer satisfaction have all contributed to marked growth in referral volume over the past decade.
