Neuropathology provides a broad range of clinical, research and educational services. We work closely with teams of internationally known neuroscientists, neurologists, oncologists, neurosurgeons, and neuroradiologists as well as other healthcare providers.

The neuropathology faculty has particular diagnostic and research expertise in brain and pituitary tumors, dementia, epilepsy and neuromuscular disorders. We provide higher level consultation services to patients, medical centers and healthcare systems here and abroad. 

Services are available in the following areas:

  • Consultation services for problematic and unusual cases
  • Cytogenetics
  • Electron microscopy when necessary
  • Immunohistochemistry
  • Intraoperative consultations
  • Review of surgical pathology specimens, including complex radical dissections
  • Tumors and vascular malformations of the brain
  • Skull base, spine and spinal cord disorders
  • Peripheral nerve and muscle disorders
  • Dementia and other neurodegenerative disorders
  • Unusual causes of stroke, cerebrovascular disease and epilepsy
  • Developmental disorders of the nervous system
